The Hightstown Cultural Arts Commission teamed up with eight local eateries March 12 for an “Empty Bowls” event to benefit the Rise food pantry. The event was held at the Veterans of Foreign War Post 5700 located at 140 Dutch Neck Road in Hightstown. More than 140 people attended raising approximately $7,000 for Rise. Sponsors who donated $500 each included Dr. David T. and Celia D. Aba´los; and Amy Butewicz from Fox & Roach Realtors of Princeton.
