Princeton was invaded — and occupied — for a few hours Saturday. The Redcoats had arrived., As part of the Princeton Battlefield Society’s celebration of the 240th anniversary of the Revolutionary War’s Battle of Princeton, a group of British military re-enactors arrived at Morven Museum and Garden, representing the British troops who occupied Princeton in the weeks leading up to the battle at the Stony Brook Quaker settlement, just south of Princeton., The “occupation” squad included some loyalist civilian re-enactors who urged townsfolk to swear allegiance to King George.
