Kendall Park man suffers fatal injuries during crash in Monroe

A 2013 Dodge Ram was traveling southbound on Daniel Road in Monroe, navigating a curve in the roadway just north of the intersection with Avenue C, around 5:12 p.m. on Oct. 28.

The truck crossed over the double yellow center line and left the roadway to the left for an unknown reason, according to information provided by the Monroe Township Police Department. The truck then struck several trees and became wedged between several trees, police said.

Upon first responder arrival, the driver, Joseph Deluca, 51, of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, was found unconscious and medical aid was rendered. He was subsequently transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick and was later pronounced deceased, according to police.

The crash is being investigated by Sgt. Anthony Trohalides and Officer Daniel Mosakowski of the Monroe Township Police Traffic Safety Division. Anyone who witnessed the crash should call the Traffic Safety Division at 732-521-0222, ext. 126.
