West Windsor police look for armed robbers

Police are looking for three men who robbed two people at knifepoint as the victims were walking on a pedestrian trail in Mercer County Park West in West Windsor shortly after 9 p.m. June 13.

The three men, two of whom allegedly displayed pocket-style knives, confronted the victims near the west picnic area and demanded their wallets, according to the West Windsor Police Department.

One man allegedly pressed a knife against one victim’s stomach and the second man held a knife to the other victim’s neck, police said.

The men threatened to harm the victims if they did not hand over their wallets, police said. The victims gave complied and turned over their wallets to the men, who fled on foot, police said.

Police searched the area, but could not find the suspects.

One of the suspects was described as a Black male who was about 6 feet tall and a little fat, according to the description given He wore a black or blue baseball cap, a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over, dark colored shorts and a black cloth mask, police said.

The second suspect was described as a White male, also about 6 feet tall, and thin. He had a short brown beard and was wearing a tan shirt, gray pants, a gold chain and black shoes. He may have blue eyes, according to reports.

The third suspect was described as a Black male who was about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and thin. He had tattoos on his neck and tattoos of roses on his forearm, according to reports. He wore a blue or black shirt, jeans and red colored shoes.

All three men were in the mid to late 20s, police said.

They may face charges of robbery, aggravated assault, issuing terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
