Faith Lutheran Church in Hillsborough installed its new pastor during a ceremony on June 6.

After the retirement of Pastor William Zimmerman and a year-long “call process,” Faith Lutheran’s invitation was accepted by Pastor Jill Collict last summer, according to information provided by Kelly Haase.

Collict and her dog Phoebe joined Faith Lutheran last September. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, Collict’s installation service was postponed.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Collict has been busy working with the congregation organizing virtual services, committee meetings and church activities, according to the statement.

Collict is a big supporter of animal rescue work and efforts to address hunger and homelessness, according to the statement. She is interested in developing partnerships to support community mental health and to foster ecumenical/interfaith conversation and cooperation.
