Pennington general election results: Davy, Stern and Gnatt secure seats

There were uncontested races for Pennington mayor and the Pennington Council during the Nov. 2 General Election.

The election results reflect what has been posted online by the Mercer County Clerk’s Office as of Nov. 3.

The results of the general election will remain unofficial until they are certified by the county.

Mayor James Davy, a Democrat, will carry out the two years left on former Mayor Joe Lawver’s unexpired term after earning the seat after the General Election. He was appointed to the position on June 7 when Lawver resigned during the summer.

Davy received 551 votes during the Nov. 2 General Election, as of press time.

For the two open council seats, incumbent Councilwoman Deborah Gnatt and newcomer Nadine Stern, both Democrats, each secured a three-year term.

In the general election, Stern received 542 votes and Gnatt earned 539 votes, as of press time.
