Genovesi, Stolow lead in contested race to represent Hopewell Township on school board

Jacqueline Genovesi and Kimberly Stolow are leading in the vote totals for two open seats to represent Hopewell Township on the Hopewell Valley Regional Board of Education.

The General Election results listed reflect what has been posted online by the Mercer County Clerk’s Office as of Nov. 3. Mail-in ballots and provisional ballots are still being counted.

The results of the election will remain unofficial until they are certified by the county.

Genovesi, current Board President Deborah Linthorst, and Stolow faced off for two open seats available to represent Hopewell Township during the 2021 election.

As of press time on Nov. 3, Genovesi has 2,116 votes, Stolow received 1,921 votes and Linthorst has 1,893 votes.

To represent Pennington on the school board, candidate Alexander Reznik had an uncontested contest for Pennington’s sole seat on the Board of Education.

Reznik received 460 votes in the 2021 election, as of press time.
