Princeton police investigate car burglaries

The Princeton Police Department is investigating a string of car burglaries and thefts that occurred in several neighborhoods off Rosedale Road overnight between May 12 and 13.

A Lambert Drive resident reportedly scared off two would-be burglars who attempted to enter cars that were parked in her driveway around 6:30 p.m. May 12, police said. She slammed the patio door to alert them to her presence, according to reports.

An Audubon Lane resident told police that two people walked up her driveway and tried to get into her vehicles at 1:30 a.m. May 13. One of the suspects removed an EZ-Pass transponder from one of the vehicles, which had been left unlocked, according to reports.

Nearby on Ettl Circle, a resident reported that sometime between 8 p.m. May 12 and 3:20 p.m. May 13, a pair of sunglasses and a black case containing the vehicle’s manual and registration card were stolen from one of his vehicles while it was parked in the driveway. It had been left unlocked.

In the same Ettl Farms development on Christopher Drive, a resident told police that her unlocked car was burglarized between 3 p.m. May 12 and 8:45 a.m. May 13. Various items were reported missing, according to reports.

Earlier in the week, a Brookstone Drive resident reported the theft of his wallet from the front passenger’s seat of his unlocked car while it was parked in his driveway. The burglary and theft occurred between 2:30 p.m. May 8 and 5:45 p.m. May 9.
