Allentown council appoints McGrath to municipal posts

ALLENTOWN – Joseph McGrath has been hired as Allentown’s part-time code enforcement officer, housing inspector and zoning officer.

The Borough Council tapped McGrath for the positions at its meeting on June 28. Ron Gafgen resigned from those positions on June 30.

Officials said McGrath will work four hours a week spread over two mornings. He will be paid a stipend of $1,500 as the code enforcement officer, $3,000 as housing inpsector and $1,500 as zoning officer. No health benefits or paid time off will be provided by Allentown.
