The 41-year-old driver of the school bus was attempting to turn left onto Vreeland Drive from Route 518 around 4 p.m. when the crash occurred, police said.

The school bus was traveling east on Route 518 when it crossed in front of a westbound 2009 Subaru Forester driven by a 47-year-old Pennington resident, police said.

The two drivers and the students were evaluated by the Montgomery EMS (Emergency Medical Services), but no injuries were reported.

Montgomery Township school district staff released the students to their parents who had arrived at the scene, police said.

The Subaru was towed from the scene because of extensive damage, police said.

The school bus driver was additionally issued a summons of careless driving, police said.

Anyone with additional information on the crash is asked to contact Officer Jason Clifford of the Montgomery Township Police Department’s Traffic Division at 908-359-3222.
