East Windsor Township and Hightstown Borough voters chose a mix of incumbents and newcomers to run for East Windsor Township Council and Hightstown Borough Council in the Nov. 7 general election.
In East Windsor Township, Democratic Party voters endorsed incumbent Township Council members Marc Lippman, Janice Mironov and John Zoller, and newcomer Anthony Katawick to run for the four open seats.
Lippman received 1,091 votes, Mironov got 1,078 votes, Zoller earned 1,085 votes and Katawick picked up 1,088 votes.
Republican Party voters chose Paul K. Hummel Jr., former Township Councilwoman Anna Lustenberg and Steve Uccio to run for Township Council. No one signed up for the fourth seat.
Hummel got 388 votes, Lustenberg received 387 votes and Uccio earned 381 votes.
In Hightstown Borough, Democratic Party voters endorsed incumbent Borough Council members Joseph Cicalese and Christina Fowler to run for two open seats. They also chose Jeet Gulati to run for an unexpired term on the Borough Council.
Cicalese received 192 votes and Fowler got 201 votes. Gulati received 199 votes.
The Republican Party did not field candidates for Borough Council.
All of the vote tallies from the Democratic and Republican primaries are unofficial, according to the Mercer County Clerk’s Office.
