Turkey Trot kicks off Thanksgiving Day in Hopewell Valley

People of all ages got their Thanksgiving Day off right with a run, walk or jog during the 13th Annual Hopewell 5K Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.

The morning of Thanksgiving people participated in the 5K Cross Country Course at Rosedale Park in Pennington dressed in running gear and some in turkey costumes or Thanksgiving decorations on Nov. 23.

There were about 850 participants in the race.

The race is a fundraiser in support of the Hopewell Valley Central High School (HVCHS) wrestling team and Hopewell Valley Youth Wrestling.

Monetary donations were collected also for the Hopewell Valley Mobile Food Pantry.
