A Phillipsburg man was charged with issuing terroristic threats and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose after he allegedly threatened a West Windsor Township resident with a knife Oct. 31, according to the West Windsor Police Department.

The victim told police that he attempted to stop a car that had been driving aggressively in the Windsor Ponds development. He stepped out into the street to stop the car, but it kept going and drove around him, police said.

As the car passed him, he slapped its rear passenger window, police said. The car stopped and the driver got out and approached the victim. They got into an argument and the driver allegedly pulled out a knife before leaving, police said.

Police located the driver, who was delivering pizza in the neighborhood, and arrested him. He was processed and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center.
