There will soon be an open seat on the Cranbury Township Board of Education due to the expected resignation of a Cranbury Township member on January 1, 2025.
This is a great chance for a dedicated community member to step up and help guide the future of education in Cranbury Township.
Thus, this could be your chance if you care about local schools and want to serve your community.
The Board will hold interviews for interested applicants during the January Reorganization and Regular Meeting on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
At the meeting, the Board will choose a new member to fill the position until the 2026 Reorganization Meeting.
If you’re interested, you need to send a letter or email explaining why you want to join the Board.
Your application must be received by Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

To be considered, applicants must meet these requirements:
- Be a U.S. Citizen.
- Have lived in Cranbury Township for at least one year before the appointment.
- Be able to read and write.
- Be registered to vote in Cranbury Township and not disqualified from voting under New Jersey law.
- Have no convictions for crimes listed under New Jersey education law.
- Not hold the position of mayor or be a member of Cranbury Township’s governing body at the same time.
Joining the Board of Education is an important role that allows you to help shape decisions that impact local schools and the community.

Interviews will take place on January 8, 2025, and the new member will start their work in time for the 2026 Reorganization Meeting.
