Mobile Family Success Center slates events for county residents

The Mobile Family Success Center of Middlesex County has announced upcoming events this month where residents can obtain family support, information and services at neighborhood gathering places.

The community-based, family-centered program currently focuses on bringing services to Woodbridge, Edison, Sayreville, North Brunswick and East Brunswick, but any resident of Middlesex County can attend. Walk-ins are welcome. Supplies and giveaways may be limited to a first-come, first-served basis.

September events include the following:

  • “Grandparents Day” from 8-9 a.m. Sept. 6 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center, 333 Cheesequake Rd., Parlin.
  • “Back to School Basics” from 4-5 p.m. Sept. 7 at Ozanam Shelter. School supplies will be distributed to the resident children of Ozanam Shelter only.
  • “Festival of Colors” includes colored sand bottle fun from 3-4 p.m. Sept. 8 at the North Brunswick Library, 880 Herman Rd,. North Brunswick.
  • “Finding Dory in the Sea Craft” from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. Sept. 10 at the East Brunswick Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive.
  • “Lighthouse Craft” from 4-5 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Ozanam Shelter. School supplies will be distributed to the resident children of Ozanam Shelter only.
  • “Résumé Building” from 4-5 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Ozanam Shelter. Shelter residents only.
  • “Lush Craft” from 2:45-3:45 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Sayreville Library, 1050 Washington Rd., Parlin.
  • “2016 Almighty Kids Olympics” from 6-7 p.m. Sept. 21 at Parsons Elementary, 899 Hollywood St., North Brunswick.
  • “Marshmallow Excitement and Community Advisory Board” from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at the East Brunswick Library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive.
  • “Tie Dye” from 6-7 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Lafayette Estate School and from 4-5 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Sayreville Library, 1050 Washington Rd., Parlin.
  • “Family Picnic” from 6-7 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Ross Street School, 110 Ross St., Woodbridge.
