The Terra Nova Garden Club, for the seventh consecutive year, will hold a Wreaths Across America ceremony on Dec. 17, at The Piscatawaytown Burial Ground Cemetery (St. James Church), Woodbridge Ave., Edison.

There are approximately 90 veterans’ graves in this cemetery. The graves date to the French and Indian War. The ceremony takes approximately 45 minutes as special wreaths are placed honoring the seven military branches. Mayor Lankey places a wreath for Edison’s own MIA – Ronald Mayercik. Each attendee takes a wreath and a stand, finds a marked veteran’s grave, and places the wreath.

TNGC is hoping the community will support this endeavor by purchasing a wreath for $15. Checks should be made to Wreaths Across America and sent to 15 Midland Road, Edison, New Jersey 08820. All monies must be received by Nov. 18.
