Homes evacuated due to gas leak in Sayreville

SAYREVILLE – Some homes in the vicinity of Washington Road and Warwick Drive have been evacuated due to a gas leak.

A construction crew ruptured a gas line this morning, according to a statement prepared by the Sayreville Police Department. PSEG is on scene along with the fire department.

Residents are advised to avoid the area until repairs are made.
