“Reiki for Relaxation,” a free program offered by the Cancer Support Community (CSC) at Monmouth Medical Center, will take place from 1-4 p.m. on Jan. 10 in Suite ST-007 of the Maysie-Stroock Pavilion at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch.

A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help the body create an environment for physical, mental and emotional healing, according to the International Association of Reiki Professionals. The session is led by Reiki practitioner Diane Todd, who will talk about the benefits of Reiki and demonstrate the relaxing effects firsthand.
