HELMETTA – A 24-year-old Helmetta man has been charged with possessing and distributing child pornography.
Daniel Leal was charged at his home on Jan. 5 with possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and intent to distribute the illicit materials, according to a statement released by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey.
During an investigation by the Helmetta Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, it was determined that Leal allegedly maintained and exchanged pornographic photos and videos on the internet.
He was being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick as of press time..
