Thanks to all who support church food pantry

The most recent First Presbyterian Church of South Amboy Food Pantry was held Feb. 18. We serve between 65 and 100 families on the third Saturday of every month. They come with their empty carts and leave with an abundance of groceries. We always have time to chitchat with the families, and it is a happy time for everyone.

Our pantry would not be as successful as it is without the wonderful help we receive. Thank you to our dedicated volunteers and community-service workers. This month we welcomed a few new volunteers from the Old Bridge chapter of the Young Muslim Sisters youth group.

Thank you, Broadway Bagels (Steve and Bob), South Amboy, for the dozens of bagels you provide our pantry. Thanks to all who have donated financially or donated groceries. And thanks to Penske Truck Rental and its employee Todd for continuing to supply us with reliable equipment.

God bless each one of you.
