Based in Holmdel, the foundation provides an unlimited amount of books to at-risk and underprivileged children throughout New Jersey to support literacy skills and encourage a love for reading.

The event will take place from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on March 30 at DIVE! Coastal Bar, 1072 Ocean Ave., Sea Bright.

Bridge of Books Foundation Founder and Executive Director Abigail Daly has been thinking about the word “community” more and more lately.

“Our growing success in getting books into the hands of underserved children across New Jersey is most definitely a direct result of the phenomenal support that we receive from the community. We’ve sent books to hundreds of amazing communities over the last decade, each with a unique story about the impact of our books on the children who receive them.

“What better way to celebrate that accomplishment than by gathering with our local community of readers — women who enjoy sharing their favorite stories with one another in book discussion groups — women who understand the value of reading in their lives and in the future of our children,” Daly said.

The “Ladies Night Out” will feature passed hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. There will be two raffle drawings: one for a Girls Day Out and the other for a Date Night.

Tickets are $45 per person or $40 per individual in groups of five or more. Reservations can be made in advance at www.bridgeofbooksfoundation.org.

All proceeds from the event will support the foundation’s “Books 365″ annual fund.
