POLICE BLOTTER for the week of 1/8/16

The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, December 30, 2015. 
Officers responded to the Gulf Gas Station on Route 571 at 6:41 p.m. Dec. 25 for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. The victim reported that a male suspect displayed a weapon and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. 
Andre Nielsen, 37, of Hightstown, was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of drug paraphernalia, having a suspended driver’s license, being an unlicensed driver, having a unregistered vehicle and speeding at 11:04 a.m. Dec. 29 while traveling on Windsor Perrineville Road.
An officer was on patrol in the area of Windsor Perrineville Road when he observed a silver Chevrolet speeding and conducted a motor vehicle stop. The driver had an outstanding warrant with Hamilton Township Municipal Court. Further investigation revealed that he was also in possession of hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Nielsen was arrested and transferred to the Hamilton Township Police Department. 
Officers responded to Dorchester Arms Apartments at 9:11 p.m. Dec. 29 for the report of a burglary. The victim reported that someone entered the residence and stole $350 worth of belongings.
