Elberon Book Club to meet March 2

Just in time for Women’s History Month, the Long Branch Free Public Library’s Elberon Book Club will meet and discuss Kate Alcott’s “The Daring Ladies of Lowell” at 6:30 p.m. March 2 at the library’s Elberon Branch at 168 Lincoln Ave., Long Branch.

Combining history, mystery and romance, the compelling story captures the spirit of 19th-century factory girls who refuse to be silenced when one of their own is murdered. Alcott draws on the true story of a murdered mill girl. Stop by the Circulation Desk to obtain a copy of the book.

Elberon Book Club meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month. Enjoy light refreshments and lively discussion. New members and visitors are always welcome, even those who haven’t read the book. The Friends of the Library will meet after the book club discussion at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend this optional meeting.

For more information, call the Elberon Branch at 732-870-1776 or visit www.longbranchlib.org.
