Visual and performing artists working in all media are invited to register for the ninth annual Metuchen Junebug ArtFest held in downtown Metuchen, from 6-10 p.m. every Saturday in June (June 4, 11, 18 and 25). Sponsored by Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce and Metuchen Arts Council, Junebug ArtFest features more than 150 visual and performing artists participating in open air exhibits, window galleries, interactive art events, live music and open-mic sessions.
In 2016, Junebug will shift to Saturday evenings to ease the Friday night rush-hour congestion that had accompanied the festival’s growth in popularity. In addition, on Saturday, June 18, Main Street will be closed during Junebug hours to create additional room for live performances and for visitors to peruse the exhibits.
Artist and performer applications can be submitted online at www.junebugartfest.com. The deadline for all applications is April 15, 2016.
