According to police, Justin Wulach, 24, of East Brunswick, was driving south on Route 9 in a Nissan Versa when he allegedly ran a red light and struck a Honda Civic that was traveling east on Route 33 Business. Wulach was alone in his vehicle, police said.

The Honda Civic was being driven by Austin Ganz, 20, of Howell. Ganz properly proceeded through the intersection and was crossing Route 9 when his vehicle was struck by Wulach’s Nissan, according to police. Ganz had a passenger in his vehicle, Christopher O’Melia, 27, of Freehold.

Officers were called to the scene at 2:34. p.m. and the crash was investigated by Police Officer Christopher DeAngelo. No injuries were reported at the scene. Both vehicles were towed from the location.

Police said Wulach was issued a summons for careless driving and said the matter is pending court.
