On April 7, 127 students at Campbell Elementary School in Metuchen competed in the Noetic Learning Math Contest (NLMC).
A national competition for elementary and middle school students, the NLMC’s goal is to encourage students’ interest in math, to develop their problem-solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math. More than 30,000 students representing 765 schools across the country took part in this spring’s contest.
The following students were team winners:
Grade 3: Daniel Afkhami, Kaitlyn Hsueh, Madison DeFrancisco, Ronan Pell
Grade 4: Arjun Gupta, Jared Popeck, Bennett Santus, Logan MacPherson, Aaron Ruiz, Emily Lan
The following students won the National Honor Roll title. This title is awarded to approximately the top 10 percent of participating mathletes:
Grade 3: Kaitlyn Hsueh, Madison DeFrancisco, Julia Espinosa, Ronan Pell, Ripley Wong
