All Children’s Theatre is still accepting registrations for Broadway Kids performing arts one-week day camp for children ages 6-17. The camp will be held Aug. 1-5 at the Metuchen Reformed Church, 150 Lake Ave. in Metuchen.
Initial registration deadline is June 1 but registrations will be accepted thereafter, space permitting.
The Broadway Kids camp allows children to learn songs from numerous Broadway shows and simple dance routines culminating with a performance of their work for family and friends on Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. No prior theater experience is required to register. Space is limited.
The camp is directed by Elma Adams, who is a certified teacher and has served as the musical director on scores of productions with All Children’s Theatre during the past 27 years, and Doug Dale will serve as the dance teacher who will work with the campers on dance routines. Dale has worked with All Children’s Theatre on scores of camps/programs during the past 12 years.
The camp is designed for, but not limited to, working area parents who are looking for a creative camp for their children. Sibling discounts are available. Parents may drop off their children between 8-9 a.m. and pick them up between 4-5 p.m. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided for all campers. The Metuchen Reformed Church is air-conditioned with easy drop off and pick up.
