Drums Alive classes to aid Columbian Club

Denise Morgan will lead a new series of Drums Alive classes, featuring a therapeutic and cardio workout, 7-7:50 p.m. on eight Thursdays beginning Aug. 4 at the Columbian Club of Knights of Columbus Council No. 426, 308 Fourth St., South Amboy. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Columbian Club.

The program is designed to trigger the release of endorphins, which can help an individual endure pain and stress and be more joyful.

Cost is $65 for eight classes. Participants should bring a stability ball and a yoga mat; other needed equipment will be provided.

Tuesday-evening tabata and yoga classes are ongoing at the club. Interested individuals are invited to join at any time.
