Car cruise to benefit food pantry

HAZLET — The Red Oak Diner & Lounge will host the “Farewell to Summer” Car Cruise for Charity from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 24 at the diner’s back parking lot at 2973 Route 35 north. The rain date is Oct. 1.

The event is free and open to the public. All classes of vehicles are welcome. There will be live music, dinner and drink specials and prizes for the best cars. Registration fees are $15 in advance or $20 on day of event.

Proceeds will benefit Friends Feeding Families, a nonprofit organization that operates a food pantry at the First United Methodist Church in Belford. Checks should be made payable to Friends Feeding Families.
