Students participate in Two River Community Bank’s internship program

TINTON FALLS — Two River Community Bank has completed its largest ever Internship and Seasonal Branch Program.

The bank served as the host to 19 local high school and college students during the summer months of 2016.

In its ninth year, the bank’s program continues to focus on helping students gain hands-on experience and business insight in support of future career decisions.

Area students who participated in Two River Community Bank’s 2016 Internship Program include: Lexas Banfield, of Red Bank Regional, who interned in Credit; Michael Fallon, of Saint Joseph’s University, who interned in Loan Operations; Christopher Fitzsimmons, of Monmouth University, who interned in Commercial Lending; Austin Fong, of Rutgers University, who interned and participated in the seasonal teller program within a branch; Irene Garidas, of Hofstra University, who interned in Residential Mortgage; Jayson Green, of Indiana University, who interned in Accounting; Sam Lasker, of Marlboro High School, who interned in Loan Operations; Zachary Lorch, of Wall High School, who interned in Loan Operations; Patrick Loureiro, of the University of Delaware, who interned in Accounting; Lindsay Metz, of Stevens Institute of Technology, who interned in Deposit Operations and Internal Audit; Michael Nocchi, of Babson College, who interned in Marketing; Mohnish Sabhani, of the Academy for Allied Health Sciences, who interned within a branch; and Matthew Yard, of Wall High School, who interned within a branch.

Area students who participated in the 2016 Seasonal Branch Program include: Patrick Ellison of Lehigh University; Lauren Kleckner of Penn State University; Megan Lau of Northeastern University; Amy Liu  of the Academy for Information Technology; Alexandra Nastis of Boston University; and Daniela Rodriguez-Luna of The College of New Jersey.

Three of the participants also received scholarships in 2016 through Two River Community Bank’s annual Scholarship Program. Megan Lau, Austin Fong and Michael Nocchi each received a scholarship to support furthering their education. In total, seven scholarships were awarded to local students based on academic achievement and community involvement.
