The Long Branch Concordance Family Success Center at 300 Broadway in Long Branch has announced the following free educational activities:

  • “Parent Community Advisory Board Meeting” will be held on Oct. 26 from 11-11:30 a.m. All community members are welcome. Come to a meeting or join as a co-leader to develop, implement and manage all aspects of programs, services and outreach to ensure community needs are met.
  • “Design on a Dime” will be held on Oct. 26 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. This is an inexpensive, home-improvement, do-it-yourself workshop. All supplies are provided by the Family Success Center.
  • “Walk-in Hours” will be available on Oct. 27 from 2-4 p.m. Family Support Partners are available for walk-in appointments during these hours.
  • “Healthy Relationships Workshop” will be held on Oct. 28 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Explore healthy habits in relationships in recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness month.
  • “Zumba with Flo” will be available on Oct. 28 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Zumba offers fun and total body fitness for the whole family. The program introduces cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility while promoting family bonding through fun exercise.
  • “Community Garden” will be open on Oct. 29 from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Meet at the Seventh Avenue Community Garden between Broadway and Joline.
