Holmdel Community United Church of Christ Church, 40 Main St., Holmdel, announces the following worship and event schedule for Jan. 2017:

Communion Sunday will be held at 10 a.m.  on Jan. 1. Celebrate Holy Communion and an uplifting celebration of the New Year.

A blood drive with Central Jersey Blood Center will be held from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. on Jan. 3 in Fellowship Hall. Please come give blood in this season, when there are often shortages. It’s a good way to start the New Year.

The Annual Martin Luther King Celebration will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 8. Uplift the message and vision of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., and seek to work toward his vision of equality and justice.

A Worship Celebration will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 22 and will feature a “Story-Booth” presentation by a member concerning an encounter with life-after-life. A film concerning elderly LGBT seniors, who face discrimination and exclusion in elder communities, will follow after church.

5th Sunday Preacher will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 29. Don Pope will offer a message from the heart.
