Thief steals resident’s Halloween decorations and spirit

The respect for our neighborhood property in Edison is being invaded by thieves.

For many years I fronted my door entrance with two large stuffed Halloween decorations — a happy, smiling pumpkin and a 2-foot tiger with a cape. The kids admired them when they came to trick and treat. On Halloween night they were stolen.

This intrusion has changed my Halloween spirit, and unfortunately I am sorry to say that I will no longer participate in this festivity for the children. I feel sad for Edison. It is not what it used to be; friendly, caring and respecting one another’s property.

P.S. I would like to leave the readers with these words: “Let him that stole steal no more; but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth” (Ephesians 4:28).
