Millstone residents step up to serve on local boards

MILLSTONE – Many residents of Millstone Township will lend their time and effort to perform services for the community following their appointment to municipal boards and commissions in 2017.

The Township Committee held its reorganization meeting on Jan. 4 and appointed the following residents:

• On the Environmental Commission, Mary Pinney and Tara Zabrowsky were appointed for three-year terms, Eric Davis was appointed as chair for a one-year term and Deepti Sinha was appointed as an alternate member for a two-year term.

Township Committeeman Gary Dorfman will serve as the committee liaison to the Environmental Commission for 2017.

• On the Planning Board, Mary Pinney was appointed for a three-year term, Rose Oxley was appointed to fill an unexpired term and Stacie Curtis was appointed as an alternate member for a two-year term. Mayor Michael Kuczinski will serve a one-year term. The Township Committee appointed Committeewoman Nancy Grbelja to a one-year term on the board.

• On the Zoning Board of Adjustment, Patrick Mostyn and Steven Morelli were appointed as regular members for four-year terms, Al Ferro was appointed as an alternate member to fill an unexpired term and Andrew Ferrara was appointed as an alternate member for a two-year term.

• On the Parks and Recreation Commission, Ken Simels was appointed as a regular member for a five-year term and Andrew DeFelice was appointed as an alternate member for a five-year term.

Township Committeeman Bob Kinsey will serve as the committee liaison to the Parks and Recreation Commission for 2017.

• On the Historic Preservation Commission, Jim Matthews and Diane Blackwell were appointed as members for four-year terms, Mary Costagliola was appointed as an alternate member for a two-year term and Julie Carr Vincent was appointed as an alternate member for a one-year term.

Dorfman will serve as the committee liaison to the Historic Preservation Commission for 2017.

• In the Office of Emergency Management, Scott Boland, Gary Borsuk, Dirk Bruyn, Pat Butch, Patrick Digangi, Tony Marra, Karen Otten, Bill Pratt, Maggie Romano and Carl Sceusa were appointed as members for three-year terms. The Township Committee appointed Kuczinski as the OEM coordinator for a one-year term and Kuczinski will be the governing body’s liaison to the OEM for 2017.
