Fatal crash involves SUV, commuter bus

EAST BRUNSWICK – Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened during rush hour on Feb. 6.

Around 6:11 p.m., a red Nissan Rogue being driven by Steven Kahn, 75, of Kenoza Lake, New York, was traveling southbound on Route 18 in the center lane near Eggers Street when he reportedly entered the right lane, according to information provided by the East Brunswick Police Department (EBPD).

The Rogue then reportedly struck the driver’s side of a 2003 New Jersey Transit MCI commuter bus being driven by Patrice Camille, 63, of Neptune, which had been traveling south in the right lane, according to the police report.

Atlantic Ambulance and paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick responded to the scene. Kahn was transported to Robert Wood Johnson where he was pronounced dead a short time later. No other injuries were reported at the scene, according to police.
