JFK Medical Center nursing team provides gifts to its newest arrivals

EDISON — The nursing staff at JFK Medical Center is gifting newborn babies born in the month of February and their moms handmade red hats in honor of Heart Month in support of the American Heart Association’s Little Hats, Big Hearts program.

The Little Hats, Big Hearts initiative from the American Heart Association provides new moms a free kit full of heart-health information along with a handmade red baby hat to empower moms to live heart-healthy lives and to help their children do the same. The campaign is also raising awareness around congenital heart defects.
