The board said that it is confident in this selection, which was announced on Feb. 23,  and believes that Staub will serve as a leader and a great steward of Monmouth Arts’ mission to inspire the community through the arts.

Staub has replaced Executive Director Mary Eileen Fouratt, who currently works as a program officer for the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

Staub has many years of experience.

She has worked in leadership and development positions for over 25 years in the nonprofit sector. She has an expertise in fundraising, administration and community outreach as she is familiar with the culture of Monmouth County’s artistic community.

Staub is delighted to hold this new position.

“I am truly grateful to work for an organization that sustains and creates opportunities for the arts to flourish in Monmouth County,” she said. “I look forward to working with Monmouth Arts’ incredible team as well as the hundreds of arts organizations and artists that we partner with throughout the year.”

Staub formerly served as the senior development director for over six years at the Algonquin Arts Theatre. Additionally, she served as the development director of the Axelrod Performing Arts Center and New Jersey Repertory Company.

Before diving into the arts, she spent 11 years as an executive director of the Ocean County Unit of the American Cancer Society.

A special reception will honor Staub at the 2017 Monmouth Teen Arts Festival from 6-7 p.m. on March 15 at Brookdale Community College’s Center for Visual Arts Gallery in Lincroft.

After some remarks by Staub, three schools will display their students’ talents in dance, choir, poetry and creative writing. Guests are invited to attend and explore the hallways of the Center for the Visual Arts and enjoy work from 30 schools. Around 2,000 students are expected to attend the festival on Thursday and Friday.

Refreshments and appetizers, provided by Mumford’s Café in Tinton Falls, will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
