‘Footloose’ to be staged at St. John Vianney High School

HOLMDEL — Saint John Vianney High School Lancer Productions will present the hit Broadway musical, “Footloose,” at 7 p.m. from March 30 to April 1 and 3 p.m. April 2 at Saint John Vianney High School, 540A Line Road.

The musical centers on Chicago native Ren McCormack who, after his father abandons him and his mother, moves to the small town of Bomont. It is there that Ren discovers that dancing is outlawed, and he soon finds himself at odds with the whole town. With the town reverend’s daughter, Ariel, and his best friend, Willard, by his side, Ren fights to once again legalize dancing, all while helping the town heal from a terrible tragedy.
