ALLENTOWN – Borough Council members Wil Borkowski and Angela Anthony will seek to retain their seats on Allentown’s governing body in the Nov. 7 election.

Democrats Borkowski and Anthony were the only residents who filed nominating petitions to run for two three-year terms on the council by the April 3 deadline, according to the borough clerk. Their current terms will end on Dec. 31.

However, one or more residents could receive write-in votes during the June 6 Republican primary and gain positions on the GOP line on the Nov. 7 ballot.

Allentown residents who want to run for a seat on the council as an independent candidate have until June 6 to file a nominating petition.
