Colts Neck officials plan capital improvements

COLTS NECK – Several capital improvements will be funded by the Colts Neck Township Committee during 2017.

On April 12, committee members introduced an ordinance authorizing the capital improvements. The ordinance will reappropriate excess bond proceeds ($96,137) and reappropriate capital funds ($83,836) for a total of $179,973.

The funding will be used for roof improvements at the municipal courthouse/police building and for the acquisition of a non-passenger vehicle for the fire department.

Mayor Russell Macnow, Deputy Mayor J.P. Bartolomeo and committeemen Edward Eastman, Frank Rizzuto and Thomas Orgo voted to introduce the ordinance and scheduled a public hearing for 7 p.m. April 26.
