Hightstown High School’s athletic department fundraiser for spring sports raffle has a winner, and it’s Heather Ruina, who won tickets to New York Yankees game. Heather is a kindergarten teacher is South Brunswick and lives in Hightstown. She purchased the winning ticket from a member of the girls track team. Heather, pictured here with her daughter, is a lifelong Yankees fan who has “never had an opportunity to sit in seats below the nosebleed section” and was screaming with excitement when she received the phone call that she had won. The athletic department plans to improve warm-up attire for teams and revitalize its rehab and exercise areas with proceeds from the fundraiser. The Yankees tickets were sponsored by Audi.
