9-1-1, dispatch classes available through North Brunswick Police Department

The North Brunswick Police Department will hold 9-1-1 and Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification Classes.

The 9-1-1 class will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 16-20 at police headquarters, 710 Hermann Road, North Brunswick. Learn about ethics, liability, stress management, interpersonal communication, FCC regulations, radio techniques and the Americans With Disabilities Act.

The dispatch class will be held at the same times Oct. 23-26 at the same location. Learn about roles and responsibilities, legal issues, chief complaint types, anatomy and physiology, quality assurance and recertification.

Written and practical exercises will be required.

All students must present a valid CPR card prior to the start of class.

Registration is $300 per class, which includes books.
