• Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Tennent Road, Manalapan, will present its annual Harvest Home turkey dinner on Oct. 21. • The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County, Freehold Township, presents Irving Berlin: A Talk by Marty Schneit at 2 p.m. Nov. 19. Tickets are $8 for museum members and $10 for non-members. • The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County, Freehold Township, presents

• Rick Radis will present “Return of the Raven” at the 8 p.m. Nov. 8 meeting of the Monmouth County Audubon Society at the Knights of Columbus hall, 200 Fair Haven Road, Fair Haven. The public is welcome; admission is free. Radis will cover the historic status of the common raven in eastern North America from the late 1880s, its return in the 1990s, and its present status as a nesting species in many areas of New Jersey and the eastern states. • Monmouth County has a backyard composting session scheduled at Deep Cut Gardens, Middletown, on Nov. 18. • The Manalapan Board of Health will host flu vaccination clinics for residents age 12 and over on the following dates: Oct. 18, 9:30-10:30 a.m., Covered Bridge I clubhouse; Oct. 19, 1-2 p.m., municipal building; Oct. 24, 7-8 p.m., municipal building. • The Friends of the Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center will host a 5K race and family fun run/walk, “Stomp Out Child Abuse,” at 9 a.m. Oct. 29 at Thompson Park, Preston Grove Pavilion, Route 520 (Newman Springs Road), Lincroft. • The Autism MVP Walk, a day of family fun with activities for children, a 2-mile walk along a boardwalk and a post-event celebration, will be hosted by the Autism MVP Foundation on Nov. 5. • Marty’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary, 118 Route 526, Upper Freehold Township, will host a Ruff Mudder canine obstacle challenge for dogs and their owners on Oct. 22. Owners will guide their dogs through 11 obstacles spread over a half-mile grass and gravel path with several potentially muddy areas. Suitable for dogs of all ages, sizes and abilities. Sign in at 10:30 a.m. Staggered start begins at 11 a.m. One dog is $20, each additional dog from the same family is $10. Spectators welcome. • Disabled American Veterans Chapter 74, Freehold, will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 31 at the American Legion, 62 W. Main St. Freehold. Chapter members, DAV members-at-large who are seeking a chapter and veterans with disabilities who are seeking assistance and advice are welcome to attend the meeting. Dinner of pizza and subs is provided.

• The Deep Cut Orchid Society meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month (Nov. 14) at the Monmouth Reform Temple, 332 Hance Ave., Tinton Falls. There is a speaker, refreshments and a discussion of plants on the show table. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome.

• Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, 448 Tennent Road, Manalapan, will host “Journey to Bethlehem,” a free Christmas drive-through, on its grounds from 6-8:30 p.m. Dec. 2-3. • The Manalapan Board of Health will sponsor a free rabies immunization clinic for dogs and cats on Nov. 4 from 9-11:30 a.m. in the Manalapan Recreation Center, Route 522, at the new expansion building by Field K and the spray park (best entrance is the west entrance, not the main entrance). • Single Active Seniors (SAS) is a discussion and activity group for men and women over 55. SAS meets every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in the Colts Neck Reformed Church, Route 537 West, Colts Neck (in the white building to the right of the church).
