SOUTH BRUNSWICK – The Rutgers University School Library Bus Tour is coming to the South Brunswick School District.

In partnership with Joyce Valenza, professor of Library and Information Science at Rutgers University, South Brunswick Library media specialists will welcome library students and recent graduates Oct. 24-26 at Brunswick Acres, Indian Fields, Crossroads Middle School South, Crossroads Middle School North and/or South Brunswick High School. At each site, the students will observe a typical day in a busy school library and have an opportunity to chat with the librarian about the specifics of the program.

Piloted in South Brunswick in 2016, this event encourages Rutgers students to observe the daily operations of a high-functioning library. The success of last year’s event in South Brunswick has lead Valenza to expand the bus tour across the state, spotlighting other notable library programs and allowing even more students to participate, according to information provided by the school district.
