“We are deeply saddened by this loss and have met as a team to support our South Brunswick School District community,” Principal Peter Varela wrote in a letter to parents on Oct. 12. “He was someone who visited every classroom and workspace to help resolve technology issues. Mr. Beeker was known by many and had a tremendous impact on us working behind the scenes to support instruction.”

The school was going to have a moment of silence on Oct. 13 in Beeker’s honor. Counselors were going to be available to students.

Varela could not be reached for further comment.
