Police warn of vehicle burglaries in South Brunswick

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – Police are investigating an increase in car burglaries in South Brunswick since the beginning of October.

Cars are mainly being entered through unlocked doors, according to information provided by the South Brunswick Police Department. Some car windows have been smashed when valuable property is left in the open.

In all, nine cars were entered during the overnight hours in residential areas of Kendall Park and Dayton. The suspect(s) stole purses, change, wallets, gift cards, credit cards and personal documents, according to police.

Police are still investigating the incidents.

Officers remind residents to look their doors, keep the interior tidy so valuable items are not visible from the outside, conceal all property or don’t leave it in the car, completely close windows and sunroofs and park for visibility.
