Geffken co-authored with George Severini  on the book that focused particularly on the bygone amusement parks of the Atlantic Highlands, the Highlands and Sea Bright.

All are invited to come and learn how the Jersey Shore became the most famous vacation and recreational destination in the coastal United States. Books will be available for purchase after the lecture.

The Monmouth County Historical Association’s annual meeting is free and the public is encouraged to attend. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The program will begin at 7 p.m. with a brief business meeting, including the election of trustees, and will be followed by Mr. Geffken’s remarks. Light refreshments will be served.

In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will be held on Jan. 30.
