Marlboro marks another successful Dinosaur Day

We had another successful Dinosaur Day and Earth Day celebration in Marlboro. I wish to thank all those who make this event possible: Mayor Jonathan Hornik, Councilman Jeff Cantor and the Township Council, Lynn Gustman and the Recreation Department, Adrianne Spota and the “Green Team,” the Shade Tree Committee, Dave Parris, curator, New Jersey State Museum, Glen Harbour, and of course all the kids, young and old, from our community and beyond.

We also had an awesome lifelike T Rex puppet from Field Station: Dinosaurs that roared with excitement. I organized this event 19 years ago to celebrate Earth Day and bring attention to our great natural resources, including dinosaur fossils in our backyard.

Thanks to all and remember, “We are stewards of the Earth.”
