Brevard College, Brevard, N.C., held its annual honors and awards ceremony to recognize student, faculty and staff achievement in academics and leadership. Victoria Hayes of Englishtown was among the honorees.

Jillian Krantz, the daughter of Dr. Ronald and Randi Krantz, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2017 fall semester at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Fla. Jillian is an accounting major and is a 2017 graduate of Marlboro High School.

Christopher Dolce of Freehold, a biology student, was recently inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society at University of the Sciences, Philadelphia, Pa. Invitations to join Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honor society for first-year students, are based on attaining a first semester academic average of at least 3.50 and ranking in the top 20 percent of the class.

Robin Guy of Morganville was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest all-discipline collegiate honor society. Robin was initiated at San Jose State University, San Jose, Calif.

Alexa Koch of Freehold, a member of the class of 2021, has been named to the dean’s list at Bryant University, Smithfield, R.I., for the 2017 fall semester.

Stacey Sukoff of Manalapan was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest all-discipline collegiate honor society. Stacey was initiated at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisc.

Wagner College, Staten Island, N.Y., held its annual Undergraduate Awards Banquet and Angela Zagami of Freehold won the Class of 2008 Scholarship, given to a model student involved in community activities. Angela is a junior nursing major. She has served as chief of staff for the Student Government Association, president of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, a community leader for the Center for Health and Wellness, and a contributor for the HawkTalk blog. When she is not serving in her leadership roles on campus, she is actively working to educate the community about ways to reduce incidents of sexual violence and raise awareness about sexual violence through the “It’s on Us” pledge campaign.

Shreya Golconda of Marlboro has been inducted into the LIM College, New York, chapter of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business.

East Stroudsburg University, East Stroudsberg, Pa., announced that the following area residents have graduated: John Appice of Englishtown, Bachelor of Arts in History; Mallory Borchers of Freehold, Bachelor of Science in Public Health; Haile Donahoe of Freehold, Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Physical Education; Cayla Fiumara of Freehold, Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Marissa Busso of Freehold was among the University of Scranton, Pa., students inducted into Alpha Delta Sigma, the national honor society sponsored by the American Advertising Federation that recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement in advertising studies. Marissa is a senior at the Jesuit university.

Jessica Haddad of Manalapan, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus in Madison, has been inducted into FDU’s Phi Zeta Kappa honor society for the 2017 fall semester.

Sarah Gross of Freehold has graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree, majoring in biological science.
