The first 100 days of Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration laid the foundation for the governor’s “pro-growth progressive” agenda. The contours of the governor’s program would make New Jersey into a fairer state with significant benefits to the middle class and the most vulnerable among us.

As the former inspector general of the New Jersey Department of Transportation, I am particularly pleased at the huge investment in New Jersey Transit called for in the governor’s proposed budget. This investment and other proposed reforms would make New Jersey Transit and other agencies more efficient.

As President John F. Kennedy said in his inaugural address: “All this will not be finished in the first one hundred days … but let us begin.”
